A base fee discount is a bonus you may receive when signing up via partner or comparison portals.

It reduces your monthly deposit over a defined period.

• The discount is granted for 12 months from the start of supply
• It is automatically deducted monthly from your payment
• You don’t need to activate or apply for anything
• The discount is not reclaimed, even if your contract ends early

📉 How is the discount paid out?

The base fee discount is directly deducted from your monthly deposit.

Example:

• Regular deposit: 90,00 €
• Base fee discount: 10,00 € per month
• Actual charge: 80,00 €

❓ Why don’t I see the discount in my contract yet?

This is completely normal and the most common question.

Before supply starts:

• Your contract shows the deposit without the discount
• The reason: the discount is applied only once supply begins

👉 With your first debit after supply start, the discount is automatically deducted, even if it wasn’t visible before.

You will not miss out on the discount.

The discount does not apply if:

• you were supplied by Ostrom
• at the same metering point
• within the last 6 months before signing up
