# What does the B Corp certification mean?

**[B Corp™](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/B_Corporation_(certification))** is a global certification awarded by the non-profit B Lab to companies who have shown to pass a certain standard on sustainability, workplace wellbeing, governance and more. We are extremely proud at Ostrom to have received our **[B Corp certification on March 2023](https://www.bcorporation.net/en-us/find-a-b-corp/company/ostrom-aplus-energy-gmb-h)**, one of only 71 companies in Germany and 6500 globally to do so
